There is usually a story hidden within Julie’s paintings, and this painting of our art gallery is no exception.
As Julie explains: “My great grandfather (John Dodd) lived around the corner from the gallery, and the 1851 census showing his family is hidden in the background of my painting, along with old maps of Chester and other records of the many Colecloughs who lived along Watergate Row from the 1700s.”
